Weekly Report 26 April - 2 May 2021

Weekly Report 26 April - 2 May 2021

After a couple of weeks without any Addington races, this week saw the return of Addington racing.

Overall, it was a better week with a tidy profit.  The bigger values bets have been performing well at least in terms of place dividends and after a number of seconds we’re due a decent win.

Palmerston North has been a struggle recently with the Golden Chase and the Golden Dash meaning dogs with little exposed form racing at Manawatu.  Hopefully, things will settle down a little once the Dash series is completed next week.

Weekly Report 19-25 April 2021

Apologies for the slow posting.

A week of contrasts.  An excellent day at Cambridge returned a decent profit but disappointing days elsewhere.

A loss of 4.7 units (17% loss).  Even allowing for that loss, the strategy is still up by 9.3 units since 22 March.

Apologies for the slow posting.

A small loss for the week although the only two selections at Forbury Park won but I didn’t make them strategy bets!

Weekly Report 5-11 April 2021

Weekly Report 5-11 April 2021

Updated 12 April – stuffed up my spreadsheet!

A lot of “learnings” as the sports teams would muse after this week.

A funny week (not ha ha) some good results but some poor results and to be fair selections.  We managed to break even with a small profit.

The highlight was undoubtedly two double figure winners at Hatrick on Wednesday although in reflection we could have got some of Eye Know to win.

Friday was distinctly poor with just one win and that was the one confident bet all day.  Hatrick was a blot as well.

With Addington now out of commission for a couple of weeks, I will be more conservative with the selections to focus on generating a profit.

Weekly Report 28 March - 3 April 2021

Weekly Report 29 March - 3 April 2021

A pretty good week when you look back.

We spent 29 units and got back 40.8 units – a profit of 41% is more than acceptable and there were plenty of other coulda shoulda but that’s racing.

I’m still not sure how I’ll approach the next few weeks with Addington closed for resanding.  I’ll post my thoughts as things go.

We still have meetings on Monday and Tuesday at Addington to hopefully get some more before resanding starts.

Weekly Report 22-28 March 2021

Weekly Report 22-28 March 2021

A profitable week and that excluded Homebush Hotshot who was one of two selections on Monday but not a strategy bet. Hotshot paid $9 on the tote.

To be fair, it was a bit up and down – two good days and two not good days.

The worst day of the week was Thursday – three selections with the two win selections finishing second and the each way bet finishing fourth.   Sunday was no better.

However, we still managed a decent profit and here’s hoping we can do the same next week.

That’s racing!

Results from the last week.

Just the two race days covered but a small profit for the strategy of 2.3 units which is the main thing.

The weekly review looks at how the selections went and any thoughts on how to forgive, forget and follow.
